On the back of their previous release Sun/Son (2015, Country Music Award Finalists for album & song 2016) Eb & Sparrow have gained national recognition and have become renowned for their self-carved niche and unique musical style in the ever- widening scope that is New Zealand Americana. 

Seeing Things is written by front-woman Ebony Lamb and arranged by Eb & Sparrow, recorded in the historic homestead Ahiaruhe, in the heart of the Wairarapa January 2017, with Tui award winning producer and sound engineer Brett Stanton (NZ/Melbourne) who co-produced with the band. Utilising vintage recording equipment and instruments in the large wooden building to take advantage of the lush textures and presence, the band has pulled out all the stops. 

The rhythm section, consists of new drummer Justin Barr (Golden Awesome) Chris Winter on bass, keys & trumpet, Ebony Lamb on electric guitar Gram Antler on electric guitar and bass & Bryn Heveldt on lapsteel.

Thought Creature - Ocean Dream Album Release

On April 17th Thought Creature will release their second album Ocean Dream through Fantasy Fiction Records, thier first full length since 2008´s Teleport Palace. Ocean Dream was recorded by the band and mixed and co produced by Bevan Smith while the group were between New Zealand and Berlin. Wellington's ex Happy Bar Studio and the hull of Wellington's iconic Tug Boat were used as the primary recording spaces for the album.

Thought Creature have been on an extended hiatus with members Danny Brady focusing on Dunedin projects Death and the Maiden and Elan Vital and Berlin based Will Rattray continuing to produce and play with Full Moon Fiasco and under disco moniker Cosmic Palms.
The band will tour New Zealand over April to celebrate the release of the album with guest musicans Andy Frost (Tiger Tones, Coyote) on drums and Jelena Mirceta (Full Moon Fiasco) playing synthesisers. These will be there only New Zealand shows for 2018!

Marlins dreaming and Soaked Oats have recently undergone a transformation and have been locked in studios away from light trying to capture and communicate the experience of becoming werewolves. While scientists tinker with these songs the bands decided they would head out on the road in their new states and play said songs live to see if the experiment worked. After finishing his 1st EU tour including shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Tom Lee-Richards is launching his debut Mini-LP 'Out of the Oddness' and celebrating with a NZ, Aus and EU tour. The Blue Smoke launch will be supported by the powerful Julian Temple and Jo Little.
