The journey so far

Well, it's been nearly three months since we took over the lease on The Captain Cook Hotel, one of the oldest pubs in the country.  It's been quite the ride.  We opened with an amazing show by Connan Mockasin, and continued to put on events in the upstairs venue, before opening the downstairs gastropub a few weeks ago.  Much blood, sweat, and tears have been put in already, with some renovations on the interior of the building, and rebuilding the stage in the venue.  Whilst it's been a blur, with moments of excitement, and moments of anguish and exhaustion, all in all, we couldn't be happier with where we've come so far.  And as Karen Carptener sung, we've only just begun.

Thanks to everybody for the continued support.  We're proud of what we've achieved, but we know there is lots of work to be done.  We look forward to welcoming you and hope that you'll find yourself at home, in a comfortable environment.  Keep an eye on our website for regular updates on our upcoming events, and don't hesitate to get in touch with us via our contact details on this site.  We continue to work towards getting the various social media and general website presence of the previous operators of The Cook to remove these, in order to let us let the public know where we are, and what we do.  If you're reading this, we're glad you found us, and we hope you'll share your enthusiasm with others, if you dig our style!  We'd love to here from you in terms of what you like about the place, or any constructive criticisms you might have, so please share any thoughts with us.
